Leeds United want to make a move for target Dejan Ljubicic next after Manor Solomon underwent a medical, according to the Sunday Mail.

On page 90 of the newspaper [25 August], it is claimed that Leeds are turning their attentions to their next target in the form of FC Koln midfielder Ljubicic as Israeli winger Solomon closes on a loan move from Tottenham.

Ljubicic, 26, would become the club's seventh summer signing - providing the Solomon deal completes as expected - should he make the move to Elland Road.

Leeds United want Dejan Ljubicic next

Leeds have monitored Ljubicic in recent weeks ahead of potentially launching a move, with his current club said to be demanding around £6.8m [Bild, 7 August].

The seven-cap Austria international is keen on the move to the Premier League, following three years at Cologne, which have yielded 92 appearances.

The club were recently relegated to the second division in Germany after five seasons in the Bundesliga - and Ljubicic has angered his agent this week who has reportedly dropped him over his entourage trying to force a move [Bild, 23 August].

A proposal from Leeds was said to be worth around half of the sum Cologne want, and was knocked back last week [Kicker, 18 August].

Daniel Farke is still very much in the hunt for midfield cover, with only Ethan Ampadu, Ilia Gruev and Joe Rothwell the out-and-out senior central midfielders in his squad.
