Leeds United want £12.6m for Kristensen to complete dream transfer – Sky Sports

Leeds United are demanding over £12m to sell Rasmus Kristensen to Eintracht Frankfurt, reports Sky Sports in Germany.

Florian Plettenburg’s article [16 July] states that the Bundesliga outfit are considering plotting a move for the 27-year-old with talks ongoing, with the player having always dreamed of playing in Germany.

A deal is still not certain to take place with the clubs having not yet agreed on a valuation, with a loan also not out of the equation.

Kristensen is set to return to Thorp Arch for pre-season training in the coming days after featuring for Denmark at Euro 2024, and made 31 appearances in all competitions on loan at Roma last season.

Leeds right-back Kristensen is certainly in demand, with Eintracht’s interest confirmed earlier on Tuesday [Fabrizio Romano, 16 July].

The German outfit have qualified for the Europa League and Kristensen has no issues keeping up with a demanding schedule full of European encounters, having played for Ajax, RB Salzburg and Midtjylland in various midweek competitions.

Leeds’ financial situation has been assisted by the club’s high-profile Red Bull sponsorship deal alongside the emotional sale of Archie Gray to Tottenham just over a fortnight ago.

But the club remain keen to offload players who are surplus to requirements, and Daniel Farke was more than content without the Dane in his squad last campaign.

It remains to be seen which returning loanees could be integrated back into the side at Elland Road, with Sam Greenwood, Darko Gyabi and Sonny Perkins all agreeing further loan deals.

In other Leeds news, Rennes are reportedly back in for a second player from Elland Road.
