Leeds United transfer twist in pursuit to sign Liverpool midfielder Bobby Clark
Leeds United and Celtic are among the teams keen on signing Liverpool midfielder Bobby Clark this summer, according to Paul Gorst.
The Liverpool Echo journalist claimed that the Reds are not actively looking to sell the 19-year-old this summer.
RB Salzburg had a £6million bid turned down as Liverpool are looking for significantly more than that.
Discussing that bid, Gorst told Anfield Index: “Way short of their valuation.
“I don’t think Liverpool are actively looking at selling Bobby Clark.
“Celtic and Rangers are in the mix and obviously Salzburg, too. Almost half of the Championship are interested too, Leeds United, Norwich City, Derby County.
“He’s a player with a huge future and I think Liverpool are quite relaxed at the moment.”
Bobby Clark would be a shrewd loan signing for Leeds United
Clark would be a shrewd loan signing for Leeds due to his versatility and potential.
The 19-year-old midfielder can play in multiple positions, which would provide the Whites with much-needed squad depth and flexibility.
His experience of the Premier League, Europa League and also playing in a winning final at Wembley will come in handy for Daniel Farke.
A loan move to Elland Road would allow Clark to gain valuable first-team experience in a competitive league, while also providing Leeds with a dynamic and promising player.
Given the interest from multiple Championship clubs and Scottish giants Celtic and Rangers, securing Clark on loan would be a coup for Leeds.

It would also align with the club’s recent strategy of bringing in young, talented players to develop and potentially sell for a profit in the future.
In other Leeds United news, a bidding war update emerges as the Whites want to sign an £8.5m-rated attacker.
