Leeds United transfer twist as Fenerbahce respond to Ipswich Ryan Kent bid
Fenerbahce have accepted a bid from Ipswich Town for Leeds United transfer target Ryan Kent, according to Haber Ekspres.
The Turkish outlet reported on 7 August that Jose Mourinho’s side have accepted an offer in the region of £2.5million for the Englishman.
It’s also added that the Whites did make contact with Fener for the attacker but a deal couldn’t be reached.
Kent is set to leave Istanbul in the coming days and officially sign on the dotted line with the Tractor Boys.
Leeds United should step up their chase for Ryan Kent
Now that Crysencio Summerville has exited Elland Road [Sean Whetstone, 4 August], there is a spare spot open on either flank for Leeds to bring a player in.
Over the past few days, there have been a few names that have cropped up in terms of the Whites’ search for a replacement for the Dutchman.
Crystal Palace ace Jesurun Rak-Sakyi and Norwich’s Jonathan Rowe are just two of the names that have been reportedly on the Whites’ radar.

In fact, it’s even been reported that the West Yorkshire outfit has made a bid worth around £7million [John Percy, 5 August] for the latter.
With this in mind, there’s no reason why Daniel Farke couldn’t try to negotiate a deal with the former Liverpool man and perhaps even have some money left over to put towards making a second bid for Dejan Ljubicic [Bild, 7 August].
Nothing is set in stone yet but if Leeds want to acquire Kent’s services before the 30 August, they’ll have to act fast, and it may be they’ve already missed the boat.
In other Leeds news, the Whites have decided on the future of Wilfried Gnonto.
