Leeds United transfer news: Union Berlin could terminate Brenden Aaronson loan early
Union Berlin could terminate the loan deal of Brenden Aaronson early after he failed to convince after his move from Leeds, according to BILD.
Writing on their website (13 December), the German news outlet report that the American midfielder has struggled during his time in the Bundesliga.
And with the club planning their January business ahead of the window, BILD speculate that he could see his loan move cancelled which would see an early return to Elland Road in January.

“It’s also possible that loan players like Brenden Aaronson or David Fofana will leave early – because they weren’t convincing,” they wrote.
Not our problem
When Aaronson arrived in England last year for almost £25m many people were excited about this talented youngster coming in and thought he would develop and potentially take us up a level.
But all a move to the highest level has done is exploit his weaknesses and flaws and prove that he’s not cut out for it.
He was largely poor at Leeds in his only season here and jumped ship at the first opportunity when we got relegated, and now has been so bad in Berlin they want to cut ties early.

If they do that then the club should certainly look to get him back on loan somewhere else, because he’s not our problem anymore. Leeds should wash their hands of him.
He doesn’t want to be here, the fans are unlikely to forgive him quickly and whether he could match performance levels of our current crop is a huge question mark. It’s not worth the instability it would bring to our promotion charge.
In other Leeds news, Whites ace “will be pushing” for exit in January.
