Leeds United open to Sean McGurk loan exit in January
Leeds United are open to sending young midfielder Sean McGurk out on loan in the January transfer window, according to Alan Nixon.
The Sun journalist posted on his Patreon account on Sunday (15 October) that McGurk, a regular for the U21 side, is in line for some valuable minutes at senior level in the new year.
Nixon added that Leeds are ready to listen to offers from “the right club” for McGurk, who joined Leeds from Wigan Athletic two years ago but has yet to make his first-team debut.

Promising talent
McGurk has received plenty of plaudits for his performances at U21 and U23 level, but he does not appear to be in Daniel Farke’s plans right now.
That is understandable given he is still aged just 20 and Leeds are not exactly lacking options in the forward positions.
However, it is important that the English youngster is given a chance to develop his game further at senior level.
Should McGurk impress at a League One or League Two team, say, then it is possible he will have a chance to challenge for a place in the Leeds squad next season.

As someone capable of playing on the right of attack or as a number 10, McGurk’s versatility could come in handy for Farke at some point down the line.
It was surprising he was not loaned out in the summer, but McGurk may at least now have a chance to showcase his talents elsewhere in a few months’ time.
