Leeds United: Phil Hay shares what Daniel Farke has said about Elland Road outgoings
Daniel Farke is “very confident” of keeping his Leeds United squad intact in the January transfer window.
The Whites maintained their automatic promotion push with a 2-0 Championship victory at Blackburn Rovers on Saturday (9 December).
As shared by The Athletic’s Phil Hay on Twitter [9 December], Farke was asked after the game about any possible outgoing business next month.
Hay posted: “Loads of in-form players at Leeds. Farke says he’s very confident of keeping this squad together next month, once the transfer window opens.
“Says everyone at Leeds appreciates the importance of retentions.”
Good news
If the summer transfer window is anything to go by, January could be a hectic month for Leeds.
Farke has put together a squad that is more than capable of catching Ipswich Town and earning an instant return to the Premier League.
While adding a player to the squad would be nice, it is not essential. What is more important is that top-flight clubs do not poach any talents.

Wilfried Gnonto will no doubt garner interest from Prem clubs and others across the continent, as will Crysencio Summerville.
There was also previously talk of Joe Rodon potentially being recalled by Tottenham, but Farke has since played down those fears.
With these latest comments, Farke is clearly confident that the squad will not be broken up in any way, which is a huge boost.
As ever, though, supporters will not be able to breathe a sigh of relief until February 1.
In other Leeds United news, a pundit raged at a “petulant” incident he saw in the Whites’ win at Blackburn.
