Leeds United transfer news: No contact made for Olympiakos midfielder Pierre Kunde
Leeds United have not made any contact to sign Olympiakos midfielder Pierre Kunde this summer despite reports, according to LUFCFANZONE.
Greek outlet Nova Sports shared (12 June) that the 27-year-old was “packing” his bags ahead of flying to England and joining a Championship side – with Leeds the only club named in relation to his services.
However, taking to Twitter on Tuesday morning (13 June), LUFCFANZONE, who broke the news of Mateusz Klich’s send-off at Elland Road and had it later confirmed directly by Andrea Radrizzani on Twitter, played down such links.

“Despite links yesterday from Greece, LUFCFANZONE understands that Leeds have made no contact regarding Olympiacos midfielder Pierre Kunde Malong,” they wrote.
“The player’s representatives told us: ‘I wish there was interest but no one from Leeds has called, however there is interest from some other English clubs.'”

Shame
With Tyler Adams very likely to be sold this summer, Weston McKennie already back at Juventus, and Adam Forshaw not given a new contract, Leeds are desperately short of midfielders at this early stage.
If they are to compete in the relentless Championship, they will have to make at least one signing in the middle of the park, with Kunde looking a strong option.
The Cameroon international has 34 caps to his name and is a hard-working midfielder who could have potentially added some steel to a Leeds side who have constantly shown themselves to have a soft underbelly.
Any incomings are most likely to wait until a new manager is brought into Elland Road. The likes of Daniel Farke and Carlos Corberan have been tipped with becoming Sam Allardyce’s successor in West Yorkshire, but each potential managerial is going to want to sign different types of personnel.
A deal was always going to be tough to reach without a manager or a sporting director, and it seems Leeds are happy to bide their time until these vacancies are filled.
