Last-gasp Luis Sinisterra exit news emerges at Leeds United as approaches made
Leeds United are still not fully sure that midfielder Luis Sinisterra will remain at Elland Road beyond the transfer window closing, according to Pipe Sierra.
The Win Sports TV reporter posted on his personal Twitter page on Thursday [31 August] that several clubs have made enquiries in recent days.
Sinisterra is said to be eager to secure a move away from West Yorkshire following Leeds’ relegation from the Premier League last season.
Sierra tweeted: “Leeds still have not assured the continuity of Luis Sinisterra (24); Several clubs have asked in recent days about his situation.
“The Colombian does not want to play in the second division.
“He is an expensive player, so it is not an easy deal.”
No end
Leeds fans must have thought the transfer sagas involving Wilfried Gnonto and Sinisterra had come to an end after the pair were integrated back into the side.
That has not been the case, though, as there are still some murmurings about Gnonto wanting a move away [Fabrizio Romano], while teams continue to weigh up a last-ditch move for Sinisterra [Graham Smyth].
Ultimately, the sagas will not truly be over – for now, at least – until the transfer window closes.
Not just across Europe, either, but also in Saudi Arabia, where teams have an extra week to do business.

Daniel Farke was happy to start Sinisterra against Ipswich Town last weekend and brought him on as a substitute against Salford City in the EFL Cup in midweek.
In fairness to the Colombian, he focused on the job at hand and was on the scoresheet against Ipswich, taking the first steps towards winning back the support of Leeds’ fanbase.
If a reasonable deadline-day deal does come in for the 24-year-old, though, it will be interesting to see exactly how United react.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites are reportedly on the verge of announcing another new signing.
