Everton make last-ditch approach to sign Leeds United forward Luis Sinisterra
Everton have made a late approach to sign forward Luis Sinisterra from Leeds United, according to the Daily Mail.
Simon Jones reported the news in his ‘Window Watch’ column in the print edition of the newspaper on Friday [1 September, pg 70].
It is claimed that Everton have asked Leeds about Sinisterra, who has been linked with a move away from Elland Road throughout the window.

Now or never
Sinisterra may have been integrated back into the Leeds squad last week, but that has not put an end to questions over his future.
Everton have been linked with the Colombia international, as well as teammate Wilfried Gnonto, more than most over the past two months.
It really is now or never if the Toffees are to secure the 24-year-old’s signature, though, as the window closes for English clubs at 11pm tonight [1 September].
Even if their public stance has been that certain players are not for sale, it will be interesting to see what Leeds do if Everton make a sizeable bid.
After all, the Whites’ squad looks a look healthier now than a few weeks back when the Toffees’ interest appeared to reach its peak.

Still, Sinisterra is a great player to have and will no doubt become a regular starter once again as soon as the window closes, assuming he stays.
The Colombian may not be happy to be plying his trade in the second tier of English football, but he can resolve that by helping Leeds to promotion.
Do that, and any misunderstandings from this summer will soon be forgotten.
In other Leeds United news, another player has reportedly been made the subject of a big-money bid.
