Atletico Madrid now want to sign Leeds United star Crysencio Summerville as Elland Road talks planned
Atletico Madrid are among the teams interested in signing Crysencio Summerville from Leeds United, according to Graeme Bailey.
In an update shared via HITC [5 April], Bailey added that Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen and Portuguese heavyweights Porto have also checked out Summerville.
It is claimed that several English clubs, such as Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, Liverpool and West Ham may also be ready to test Leeds’ resolve in the summer transfer window.
However, should the Whites earn promotion to the Premier League, they intend to hold talks with the Dutchman over extending his stay at Elland Road.
How much did Leeds pay for Crysencio Summerville?
Summerville has been in superb form for Leeds this season and would be a massive loss if he is snapped by another club.
The Netherlands Under-21s international – a bargain £1.3million signing from Feyenoord in 2020 [The Sun] – has 17 goals and eight assists in 37 Championship appearances in the 2023-24 campaign.
That ranks Summerville fourth overall in the English second tier for goal involvements, behind Morgan Whittaker (26), Sammie Szmodics (27) and Adam Armstrong (31).

The fact that Summerville still has two years to run on his Elland Road contract means that Leeds do still have some leverage, even more so if promotion is achieved.
At the same time, if there is to be another season of Championship football, a big-money offer being tabled for Summerville could force Leeds’ hands somewhat.
Fingers crossed that is not a problem the club have to face as automatic promotion is still very much on.
