Leeds United transfer news as Zander Craik eyed by Newcastle
Leeds United and Newcastle are in a transfer battle to secure the services of Kilmarnock striker Zander Craik, according to the Daily Record.
The Scottish news outlet reported on 26 February that the Whites had even sent scouts to watch the 18-year-old playing recently.
As his contract at the Scottish side runs out at the end of the season, Kilmarnock are offering him a new deal.
Leeds United must beat Newcastle to Craik’s services
Leeds have made it a penchant for signing young players and giving them first-team debuts at a very young age.
Craik has proven a class apart from the rest of the under-18s and in a game this season, he scored four goals in one game and provided an assist as well.
Leeds must act swiftly and decisively to secure his signature, as competition from Newcastle and other suitors will be fierce.
Craik’s versatility as a striker and his ability to adapt to different playing styles make him a valuable asset for any team.
Signing him would not only bolster the Whites’ under-21s’ attacking options but also secure a promising talent for the future.

Despite the challenge of beating Newcastle, Leeds must showcase their ambition and vision to convince Craik to choose Elland Road over St. James’ Park as he’ll have a better chance of getting first-team football there.
