Leeds United transfer news as triple exit now on cards at Elland Road
Leeds United are set to lose Diego Llorente, Robin Koch, and Brenden Aaronson in the coming weeks with the trio on the verge of moving on, with loan deals in the pipeline, according to Phil Hay of The Athletic.
Diego Llorente was absent from training at Leeds Beckett University today, as he is ready to head back to Roma on an initial loan deal, although it may be made permanent after its conclusion, while Brenden Aaronson looks set for a move on loan to Union Berlin.
Robin Koch also missed training today, with his loan to Frankfurt set to be completed as he wanted to play at a higher level than the Championship this season. Leeds wanted Koch off of the wage bill this season and had hoped to receive a loan fee from Frankfurt for the defender.

Getting wages off the books will free up space
Koch, Aaronson and Llorente all leaving the club on loan will free up wages and space to invest in new signings this season. Llorente was the lowest earner of the three, on a reported £30,000 per week, while Koch and Aaronson earned £40,000 and £45,000 respectively [Capology].
By saving an estimated £115,000 per week, Leeds will look to invest this extra money into new signings as they target a number of players to bolster their squad at Elland Road ahead of their first season back in the Championship since their promotion in 2020.

The report in The Athletic went on to mention that prospective new manager Daniel Farke has been participating in discussions surrounding further changes to the squad, with the three loan exits and their possible replacements almost certainly a part of these talks.
This will be a turbulent summer at Leeds United, with a number of other players expected to follow these three out of the exit door as they overhaul the squad.
In other Leeds United news, the club are targeting a ‘huge’ striker signing in the coming weeks.
