Leeds United transfer news as Phil Hay shares Luis Sinisterra latest

Bournemouth are still confident of finalising a deal for Leeds United winger Luis Sinisterra, despite a couple of hours of radio silence, according to Phil Hay.

The Athletic journalist shared via his Twitter account that there has been a high level of confidence from the Cherries that they would get the deal done before the transfer deadline later on tonight.

Fabrizio Romano reported earlier in the day that the clubs have reached an agreement over a season-long loan move, with the deal being finalised as Sinisterra travelled to the South Coast to undergo a medical.

Leeds look set to lose a key player

The deal for Sinisterra is likely to be completed tonight, despite reports having been quiet since it was initially shared that a deal had been agreed between the two clubs, as Leeds look set to lose one of their stars that they had been keen on keeping at Elland Road.

Sinisterra was alongside Wilfried Gnonto and Crysencio Summerville as players who have attracted plenty of interest throughout the summer, but Leeds were initially confident about keeping the trio of stars at the club for the coming Championship season.

Gnonto and Summerville should provide enough of a star factor to give Leeds the edge over their Championship opponents, even if Sinisterra does leave the club, with those two capable of playing on opposite wings, with further depth provided by Daniel James and Ian Poveda.

Despite Leeds’ continued hopes of keeping Sinisterra at the club, they were powerless to resist a loan move from the Premier League side that also secured the services of his former Leeds teammate Tyler Adams this summer.

In other Leeds United news, a new Summerville exit update has emerged.
