Leeds United transfer news as Oliver Skipp move looked at after Joe Rodon
Leeds United have considered a move for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Oliver Skipp, who previously played under Daniel Farke at Norwich, according to the Express.
The newspaper shared on 9 August that Leeds had been looking at the Spurs academy product, but it is expected he will remain in North London to play under Ange Postecoglou after scoring twice against Barcelona in pre-season.
Any deal for Skipp to join Leeds seems like it would’ve been an ambitious one given the player’s Premier League experience and high level, as well as his role in Spurs’ squad, so it is no surprise the deal looks unlikely.

Ambitious transfer targets
Leeds are setting their standards high in the transfer window, aiming for Premier League standard players to strengthen their bid for promotion straight back to the top division, with Farke aiming to do what he did on two occasions with Norwich.
The club have already brought in two Premier League players this summer in Ethan Ampadu from Chelsea and Karl Darlow from Newcastle. Tottenham centre-back Joe Rodon looks set to arrive on loan, with his experience in the Championship standing out.
While it hasn’t been the busiest transfer window at Elland Road in terms of incoming players, the 49ers may be forced to do deals with key players still expected to depart, and gaps becoming more apparent after the Championship season kicked off with a draw.

New recruits will be necessary to fire Leeds back to the top, and aiming high is never a bad thing. If they land a couple of big deals before the transfer window ends in September, they could give themselves a great chance.
In other Leeds United news, the owners could be set for a £20million transfer war chest to spend.
