Leeds United transfer news as new Crysencio Summerville update emerges at Elland Road

Leeds United are expected to keep Crysencio Summerville at Elland Road if they win promotion back to the Premier League this season, according to Ben Jacobs.

The Dutch winger has been one of the Whites’ best players going forward so far this season, finding the net 15 times himself and laying on eight assits for his teammates while earning plenty of plaudits.

Summerville’s excellent form under Daniel Farke has seen him linked with plenty of Premier League sides, sports broadcaster Jacobs only expects him to leave Leeds if they miss out on promotion this term.

As quoted by Give Me Sport on Tuesday (20 February) he said: “I’ve said many times with Crysencio Summerville, he’s been very loyal to Leeds.

“During all the speculation in the last two windows, he’s been a model professional, and there was a big contrast in the summer between how Wilfried Gnonto behaved, all be it he’s been excellent since as well, versus how Summerville acted.

“Summerville is relishing his time at Leeds, and he’s performing superbly as well. So if Leeds get promoted, then I would expect Summerville to want to stay. Naturally, if they don’t go up, it’s a different story.”

Will Crysencio Summerville complete summer transfer away from Leeds United?

Leeds United have a lot riding on the next few months. Promotion to the Premier League is the ultimate goal for many reasons, but if the Whites miss out it could see Farke’s side once again torn apart.

The likes of Georginio Rutter, Wilfried Gnonto, Dan James and Summerville have all shown this season that they are too good to be playing in England’s second tier and they will likely make the step up with or without Leeds.

Farke’s side are in an excellent position to win automatic promotion this season and even if they were to suffer a dip in form, they would be most pundits’ and supporters’ favourites to win the playoffs.

Leeds have shown in the last few weeks that they can beat anybody they’ll face this season and if they maintain this recent run, they’ll be a Premier League outfit in no time.
