Leeds United transfer news as Luis Sinisterra on way to London to finalise exit

Luis Sinisterra is on his way to London to complete the final details of his Leeds United deadline-day exit to Bournemouth, according to Jack Tanner.

The Bournemouth Echo reporter shared via his personal Twitter account on Friday (1 September) that the Colombian was already on his way to the capital to complete his medical ahead of a season-long loan switch

Sinisterra has been permitted by United to make the journey to finalise the details of his Elland Road exit, despite various reports that the deal is yet to be agreed as the deadline closes in.

The 24-year-old had been reintegrated into the first-team fold under Daniel Farke, despite an expectation that he would likely not be a part of the Whites’ team come the end of the transfer window, but Bournemouth are now working on finalising a deal [Phil Hay, 1 September].

Not ideal

Leeds have tried their absolute best to keep Sinisterra at Elland Road this summer and have worked with the winger to ensure that he can star for them in the Championship, but now it looks like they’ll have to continue their promotion push without him.

The Colombian, like Wilfried Gnonto, believes he should be playing at a higher level and the moment Bournemouth offer that immediately, with a loan switch allowing him to return to Elland Road should Farke guide the Whites back to the top flight.

Leeds United

There has been so much turnover in Yorkshire this summer and it has left fans unsettled at times it is fairly likely Sinisterra’s exit will only cause more tension between the Leeds fans and some of the outgoing players.

If this deal is completed as expected in the final hours of the transfer window, Leeds will have to ensure they don’t lose any more of their wide options, otherwise, Farke may be left short of options in his hunt for promotion.

Maybe with Sinisterra’s wage off of the bill, the Whites may be able to make a late addition themselves.
