Leeds United transfer news as Kris Moore won’t get chance to play second Hibernian game after latest update
Nick Montgomery has revealed Leeds United defender Kris Moore won’t get a chance to play a second game for Hibernian after joining the club on trial.
Speaking to Hibs TV on Friday (12 January, via Football Scotland), the Scottish club’s manager confirmed the 20-year-old played at right-back in his side’s 5-1 defeat to Swiss outfit Servette FC in a behind-closed-doors match in Dubai on Friday.
But he added that the Edinburgh side’s scheduled game against Wolves next week now won’t take place, with Moore denied the chance to make a further impression as he looks to earn a move away from Elland Road this month.

“We were due to play two games over here but we didn’t have enough players to do that,” said Montgomery. “So what we did is we mixed the teams up tonight, some young boys, some trial players.
“It was a good opportunity to bring in Kris Moore and have a look at him at right-back with Lewis Miller being away.
“Adryan has been out of the game for a few months due to a family situation but he was training in Dubai so through a contact we thought it would be a good opportunity for him to come and train with us and have a look at him as well. The camp has been positive for many reasons.”
On his way out
It looks extremely likely that Moore will be on his way out of Leeds in the January transfer window even if he doesn’t sign for Hibernian.
The fact that Daniel Farke has allowed him to go and join the SPFL club on trial just shows that he doesn’t ever envisage him breaking into the first-team fold at Elland Road.
He does still have another year left on his deal after this season, though, after he signed a contract extension last summer up until 2025.

Hibs will now be weighing up whether or not to offer him a deal to join them this month, with the defender clearly keen to earn his first taste of senior football as he’s yet to make his debut for the Whites.
He will be hoping to have done enough in his appearance on Friday as this story is likely to develop over the next few days.
