Leeds United transfer news as double Liverpool transfer raid on cards for Calvin Ramsay and Nat Phillips
Leeds United are plotting two signings from Liverpool in the form of Calvin Ramsay and Nat Phillips in the January transfer window, according to the Daily Mail.
The newspaper reported on its website on Wednesday (24 January) that the Whites are leading the race to sign Scottish fullback Ramsay in a loan deal.
Daniel Farke is also keen on landing a temporary transfer for 26-year-old centre-back Phillips, with Blackburn Rovers and Cardiff City also looking to sign him this month.
Making waves
It looks as though Leeds are finally starting to make waves in the January transfer window as they look to land loan deals for the Liverpool defenders.
There is no doubt that they need to bring in further reinforcements to strengthen their backline this month after Djed Spence was sent back to Tottenham and Luke Ayling joined Middlesbrough on loan.
The Whites are currently short on options at right-back, so the 20-year-old Ramsay could come in and compete with Archie Gray for a starting spot after he was recalled from his loan spell at Preston earlier this month.

Phillips would add more experience to the central defensive options after Pascal Struijk’s injury has left Farke with just Liam Cooper, Joe Rodon and Ethan Ampadu as a makeshift option to select from while Charlie Cresswell is currently out of the first-team picture.
It will be interesting to watch how this story unfolds over the next few days, but it looks as though the club are now pushing hard to get some deals done.
