Leeds United transfer news as contract update emerges on Motherwell gem Dylan Wells

Dylan Wells looks set to sign a new contract with Motherwell and end any chance of a pre-contract with Leeds United, according to the Daily Record.

The Whites were noted as one of several clubs monitoring the 18-year-old’s situation at Fir Park, with Premier League side Brighton also said to be interested in his signature.

However, it looks as though Leeds are set to miss out with the Daily Record stating that talks between Scottish Premiership outfit Motherwell and Wells are at an “advanced stage”.

Indeed, they added that an agreement could be reached in a matter of weeks.

There is a clear pathway for young talents at Elland Road right now thanks to the work of Daniel Farke at the helm.

The Whites’ boss has already brought through talents like Archie Gray to become important members of the first team.

He has operated as a right back mainly but can also get stuck in, in the middle of the park as a six or even further forward.

At 23 years old, Ethan Ampadu has become one of the Whites’ most important players under Farke also operating across a variety of positions.

Add to this yet another youngster, at 22 Crysencio Summerville has been one of the best players in the whole division this campaign. The Dutchman has scored 17 and assisted 8 [FotMob] which has been a sensational return.

Youth has been a massive part of the Leeds team this season and under the tutelage of Farke is only set to get bigger.
