Leeds are enjoying life back in the Premier League.

Leeds face Tottenham on Saturday, as they look to extend their unbeaten Premier League run to three.

Daniel Farke's side will fancy their chances against Spurs at Elland Road on 4 October, who are coming off the back of two disappointing performances in a row.

Leeds may use Longstaff as a blueprint as they look to another midfield option in the January transfer window.

Leeds may target previously linked West Ham midfielder

Longstaff arrived at Elland Road this summer from fellow Premier League outfit Newcastle and has shown he belongs at this level.

Leeds will continue to look at Premier League-proven players in January, and their newest target may have emerged already.

James Ward-Prowse is out of favour at West Ham, now that Nuno Espirito Santo has arrived as Hammers manager.

The Englishman was left out of the manager's first squad and looks like he will be available for transfer in January.

Phil Hay has previously mentioned Ward-Prowse as a possible option for Leeds via The Athletic in recent years, and he looks like he might be a viable option.

The Longstaff example is one Farke could use, as he was also unfancied at Newcastle before shining for Leeds immediately upon arrival.

Ward-Prowse would be a brilliant addition to Leeds' midfield

Leeds' midfield has been much praised this season, but the addition of Ward-Prowse could take it to the next level.

His experience at Premier League level, alongside his technical ability on the ball, could help add a different dimension at Elland Road.

His abilities from free-kicks are well known, but he would be a brilliant complementary piece to Longstaff and Anton Stach.

Of course, that is on top of Ethan Ampadu and Ao Tanaka, with no easy way in at Elland Road.

Ward-Prowse has had a tough spell at West Ham, but a move to Leeds could help reinvigorate his career.
