Leeds United to undoubtedly sign new striker, Premier League experience mooted
Leeds United will sign a new striker in the summer transfer window and it could be someone with Premier League experience, according to Dean Jones.
Leeds have had to make do without Patrick Bamford for most of this season with Marcelo Bielsa and Jesse Marsch both having to switch things up in the centre-forward role as a result.
And due to Bamford’s continual issues and the overall lack of goals this term, former Eurosport and Bleacher Report journalist Jones claims the Whites will 100 per cent invest in a striker in the summer.

“They’re undoubtedly going to sign a new striker,” Jones told GiveMeSport.
“Personally, I think they will look for someone who’s already done it in the Premier League because they’ve seen other players, Rodrigo, for example, he’s a great player, but he’s taken a long time to understand life in the Premier League.”
Busy summer
Leeds look as though they’ll avoid relegation back to the Championship now so that means that if anyone goes – perhaps mainly Raphinha – the club should get good money for them.
No one of value has really been sold in quite some time so it’s important for the Whites’ financial well-being to be selling players as well as bringing new ones in.
If Raphinha goes, that could fund a move for a new striker while it may also allow Victor Orta to splash the cash on other areas of the squad.
Leeds definitely need a striker but they could also do with an experienced second-choice goalkeeper, a left-back and more depth in the centre of the midfield.

It’ll be disappointing if those issues are not addressed by Marsch and Orta in the coming months because one of the main reasons why we are where we are in the table was the lack of strengthening last summer and in January.
It won’t be easy to get in everything they want but Bamford’s had so many injury issues this term that he cannot be relied upon to stay fit next season too.
In other Leeds United news, Marsch could axe a “fantastic” player from his starting line-up ahead of the trip to Crystal Palace.
