Leeds United to sell Glen Kamara on their terms after new developments
Leeds United will only sell Glen Kamara on their terms during the summer transfer window, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.
The newspaper has reported on its website (13 July) that following recent links with Rennes, a move doesn’t seem likely at this stage.
That is despite the new addition of Joe Rothwell from Bournemouth who some saw as a potential replacement for the former Rangers man.
Glen Kamara set to stay at Leeds United
After falling just short of Premier League promotion at the end of the 2023/24 season, many changes were expected to occur at Leeds this summer.
Indeed, plenty of incoming and outgoings have happened but arguably the most shocking of all the transfers was the departure of youngster, Archie Gray.
The midfielder was sold to Tottenham for £40million and helped the West Yorkshire outfit edge over the required threshold for them to abide by the EFL’s PSR regulations.
His sale was unfortunately a necessary evil and wasn’t taken lightly by all involved.
Following his exit, Kamara had been linked with a move to Rennes [L’Equipe, 30 June] as their star man Enzo Le Fee has signed for Roma.

If this were to happen, it would’ve left the Whites with just Ampadu and Illa Gruev to be the anchors of the team.
Granted, Rothwell’s addition was an unexpected move from Daniel Farke and has helped solve that issue.
And now, with Leeds’ stance seemingly being that a Kamara exit will only be sanctioned on their terms, it’s unlikely that we’ll see him depart Elland Road just yet.
In other Leeds news, Brighton have made their final decision on Crysencio Summerville.
