Leeds United ‘to seal sensational Bijol deal in days’ after £21m development
Jaka Bijol could be set to become the first signing of the summer at Leeds United.
The Whites have been linked to several big names ahead of the transfer window, but the 26-year-old could lead the way in LS11.
It is clear that Daniel Farke is keen to add reinforcements to his squad and is looking to begin with a defensive move, ready for the Premier League.
It looks likely that Bijol will make the move from Udinese as a fresh development emerges out of Elland Road over a potential deal.

Bijol set for Leeds United transfer
There is no shortage of positive defensive options already available for the Yorkshire club, showcased throughout their promotion campaign.
With that in mind, the top division represents a completely different prospect, especially after so many sides have struggled after the move from the Championship.
As a result, the signing of an experienced centre-half could prove to be a wise move for Farke and Co. in the upcoming window.
It looks likely that the Whites are going to kick off the summer in ideal fashion, as Leeds have learnt how much they must pay for Bijol.
The Daily Star reported (13 June, page 57) that £21million would be enough to strike a deal with Udinese for the Slovenia international.
The Whites are looking to beat AC Milan, Roma and Bologna to sign the defender, with an initial bid of £14.5m already being turned down by the Serie A side.
The centre-back has suggested that he is ready to take “the next step” in his career, potentially handing Farke’s side the perfect opportunity to land their first signing of the summer.

Leeds United must win Bijol race this summer
It has to be said that investment is going to be needed in this Leeds side if they have any chance of avoiding relegation from the Premier League.
As a result, the 49ers need to jump at the chance to sign an experienced head like Bijol, especially when such a fee is available.
Stat (Serie A 24/25) | Juka Bijol |
Appearances | 34 |
Tackles won | 25 |
Duels won | 162 |
Successful passes | 1426 |
The American group can certainly afford such a deal and should look to complete a deal for the Slovenian at the first possible opportunity.
That isn’t to say that the quality already available, like Ethan Ampadu, Joe Rodon and Pascal Struijk, aren’t good enough, but they lack that true top division experience at this stage.
