Leeds United ‘to sanction sale of captain’ as favourites for summer transfer emerge
Leeds United are edging ever closer to gaining promotion back to the Premier League.
The Whites have been battling it out at the top of the Championship throughout the campaign and, despite a dip in form, have regained their momentum at the perfect time.
The West Yorkshire outfit could guarantee an automatic promotion spot as soon as Monday (21 April), which would bring a big sigh of relief to Elland Road.
Nevertheless, Daniel Farke will already be thinking about the summer transfer window, knowing that as soon as promotion is secured, work can get underway in preparation for next season.

Leeds set for summer transfer loss
If Leeds can secure their promotion to the top flight, there will have to be plenty of changes in West Yorkshire to ensure the Whites are ready to battle for their place in the Premier League.
With the three promoted teams looking set to come straight back down again this season, it serves as a reminder of how difficult sustaining a place in the league above is.
Leeds will know all about the difficulties themselves, having suffered previously, but with increased investment behind them, now that the 49ers have their increased shares in the club, they should be feeling a bit more optimistic.
That still relies on the correct business being done, though, and while bringing in the right players is important, the boss will know that making room for the new faces is just as vital.
One man who is set to be a victim of that decision is Leeds Under-21s captain Kris Moore, who has been unable to break into the first team.
According to Alan Nixon, writing in The Sun on Sunday’s print edition (20 April, page 57), the Whites are prepared to let him leave Elland Road in the summer with admirers already in place.
Crewe Alexandra of League Two are said to be keen on his services and are hoping they will be able to beat other sides to his signature in the summer.

Farke ready for Leeds United progresion
Things may have been looking a bit shaky not too long ago, but Farke has steadied the ship again and got his side back up to the top of the table.
Team | Position | Goal Difference | Points |
Leeds United | 1 | 54 | 91 |
Burnley | 2 | 45 | 91 |
Sheffield United | 3 | 26 | 86 |
The dropping of Illan Meslier and the call-up of Karl Darlow to the side seemed to be a turning point in the campaign, proving that it does take a ruthless boss to achieve things in football at times.
With that in mind, Moore’s departure from West Yorkshire in the summer feels somewhat inevitable.
Although he is a popular figure at the youth level, the defender has not yet got any senior men’s football under his belt and the top flight is clearly going to be a step too far for him to apply his trade.
Given that Crewe are interested, it will surely be in the best interest of all parties to part ways, allowing everyone the chance to maximise their possibilities of success.
