Leeds United ‘to push for Max Aarons’ after £12m+ transfer development

Bournemouth defender Max Aarons has emerged as an option for Leeds United ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

Daniel Farke’s team will play Premier League football next season and must bolster their ranks next summer.

Junior Firpo could leave Elland Road in the coming weeks and rejoin Real Betis as a free agent once his contract expires.

Farke could also be without Sam Byram in the upcoming campaign, but the Whites seem to have plans to bolster their full-back options.

Aarons a transfer option for Leeds United

Aarons could be an option for the West Yorkshire outfit in the upcoming transfer window, according to Football Espana.

The news outlet reports (7 May) that the Peacocks are interested in the Bournemouth ace, who’s currently on loan at Valencia.

It’s been claimed that Bournemouth’s asking price for the former Norwich City defender will be around £12million, and the Whites arguably need to make a push, with Sevilla serious about signing him.

Aarons hasn’t played much football since joining Carlos Corberan’s team on loan, and it remains to be seen what his future holds.

49ers need to reinforce defensive options for Farke at Elland Road

Pascal Struijk’s injury at Elland Road led to panic in the final stretch of the campaign, but the Whites managed to attain success.

Ethan Ampadu returned from his fitness issues at the right time and helped the West Yorkshire outfit win the Championship title.

Joe Rodon has also been a constant in the Peacocks’ backline, with Max Wober and James Debayo the other centre-back options.

Now that Leeds are in the Premier League, they arguably need more quality in depth in their backline.

Jayden Bogle has been reliable on the right-hand side of the defence and should continue as the first-choice next season.

Farke will face a dilemma at left-back, though, with Firpo and Byram’s futures uncertain, and the Whites will need multiple additions if both leave.

Aarons is capable of playing on both wings and could potentially be a decent option for the German manager to have at Elland Road.

The 25-year-old Englishman consistently played for Norwich during their recent spells in the top flight, but he can’t be expected to be the main left-back at the West Yorkshire outfit next season.
