Leeds United to fight for Nottingham Forest ace Joe Worrall on loan in Deadline Day loan move
Leeds United are ready to fight Sheffield United for the loan signing of Nottingham Forest ace Joe Worrall after he was made available for loan, according to Alan Nixon.
Writing on his Patreon account (1 February), the newspaper journalist reports that Forest have made the centre-back available for loan after agreeing a deal for Everton ace Mason Holgate.
Leeds reportedly had a loan deal turned down on Wednesday as they wanted a permanent deal, but this change of tune may spring the Elland Road club back into action to seal another loan deal after agreeing terms with Burnley for Connor Roberts already.
Boom
Leeds have been keen to bring in defensive reinforcements for the vast majority of the transfer window, with Djed Spence and Luke Ayling both allowed to leave the club.
But centre-back isn’t as much of an issue with Joe Rodon, Pascal Struijk, Liam Cooper and Charlie Cresswell all available and competing for a spot in the middle while Ethan Ampadu has also played there too this season.
However, Worrall is a solid Premier League defender who has fallen out of favour this season and would still strengthen the squad hugely in the push for promotion.

Sheffield United will surely have the upper hand in the deal considering they’re a Premier League side and will be keen to offer him regular football too, but Leeds are a huge club and have plenty of upside.
It’s going to go down to the wire if it happens at all because we’re already so far down the line with the deadline at 11pm, but it is definitely one to keep an eye on.
