Leeds United to complete Manor Solomon signing from Tottenham after late hijack interest

Manor Solomon will complete his loan move to Leeds United from Tottenham on Tuesday 27 August, according to David Ornstein.

The Athletic journalist reported via the outlet’s website on 26 August that there had been late interest from elsewhere but the deal is now set to go through.

It is a straight loan that will not include a permanent option to buy for the Israeli international who has four more years left on his Spurs contract.

A medical was already completed for the 25-year-old on Sunday [Shay Lugassi, 25 August], with the delay causing some concern for fans.

Leeds United to add Spurs ace to Largie Ramazani signing

Getting the Spurs man through the door should satisfy half of the business Daniel Farke wanted done after seeing Georginio Rutter join Brighton [The Athletic, 16 August].

The Whites have been forced to play catch-up after the Frenchman joined the exodus of key players leaving this summer after having their exit clauses triggered.

Largie Ramazani has been bought from Almeria to fill the gap left by Crysencio Summerville, and while Solomon isn’t an out and out number 10 he can add to the attacking options.

A midfielder and a full-back are also still wanted before the deadline, and there is once again interest in Max Aarons [Yorkshire Evening Post, 26 August] after narrowly missing out on signing him last summer.

A bid has also gone in to Sheffield United for another player who was wanted at Elland Road a year ago in Gustavo Hamer [The Star, 26 August], but the £13million fee has been deemed derisory and booted out.

In other Leeds United news, an ace who wanted to stay at the club is set for an imminent return to Elland Road with a new deal to be signed within days.
