Leeds United to clarify final details of ‘immediate’ Kristensen sale, agreement close – Sky Sports

Eintracht Frankfurt are close to a verbal agreement with Leeds United to sign Rasmus Kristensen, according to Florian Plettenberg.

The Sky Sports Germany journalist reported on 16 July that the Bundesliga side are in “direct talks” with the Whites over an agreement for Denmark international.

A verbal agreement is said to be close as the last details need to be clarified with the 27-year-old who is “keen” to move to Frankfurt with “immediate effect”.

Rasmus Kristensen set to leave Leeds United

Kristensen spent last campaign on loan with Roma where he featured regularly under Jose Mourinho until the manager was sacked.

The right-back made the decision to depart Elland Road at the first opportunity after relegation from the Premier League was confirmed.

Similarly, Diego Llorente joined the Serie A side and has since departed the Whites to join Real Betis on a permanent deal.

Now it looks like the Dane is set to follow him out the Leeds exit door with a move to Germany moving closer to completion.

After featuring regularly in Italy last year before playing a role in Denmark’s EUROs campaign, it isn’t a surprise that there is interest in his signature.

Daniel Farke will have been prepared to lose the 27-year-old but is now in need of a right back after also losing Archie Gray to Tottenham.

It is unclear how much the Whites may receive from Frankfurt but should allow them to recruit a replacement option this summer.
