Leeds United to announce Ilia Gruev signing in multi-million deal on Thursday
Leeds United are set to announce the signing of Werder Bremen midfielder Ilia Gruev on Thursday (31 August), according to DeichStube.
The reputable Werder Bremen news website reported on 31 August that there are just a few remaining deals to be clarified before the Bulgarian international completes his move to Elland Road.
It said the deal for the 23-year-old midfielder is worth at least £4.3million, with the Bundesliga side in need of funds due to their ongoing financial issues.

Green light
It looks as though Leeds are on the verge of receiving the green light so they can complete a deal for Gruev on Thursday ahead of the transfer deadline.
Daniel Farke will be delighted to finally be bringing in another option in the middle of the park after missing out on a number of key targets this summer.
That is on the back of several midfield players deciding to move on from Elland Road during this transfer window, leaving the club short in that department.

The Bremen academy graduate has made 62 appearances for the club and will be hoping a switch to West Yorkshire will improve his chances of securing regular first-team football after playing just three minutes off the bench this season.
While the Whites will be keen to continue adding to their squad once the capture of Gruev is confirmed, they will be pleased to have got this one over the line ahead of the game at home to Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday (2 September).
In other Leeds United news, the Whites appear to have lost out in their bid to sign a Premier League midfielder.
