Leeds United tipped to sign left-back and attacking midfielder in last-gasp double signing
Leeds United are in the market to sign two new players before the transfer deadline on Friday (1 September), according to Beren Cross.
The LeedsLive journalist reported on 1 September that the Whites will “remain alert” to opportunities throughout the day as they look to secure some last-minute deals before the window slams shut at 11pm.
He said a new left-back and a central attacking midfielder would provide balance to the squad, but added that the club may feel they already have what they need in the building.

Unpredictable
It does feel as though Leeds have managed to secure just about everything they were looking for as the deadline approaches, but they will be ready to act if anything comes up that may be of interest to them.
It’s always an unpredictable day as clubs try and work on a number of deals, which can lead to other players that were previously off-limits becoming available.
Although it isn’t a necessity, Daniel Farke will be keen to add another left-back to his squad as, unfortunately, you can’t completely rely on the fitness of Sam Byram.

The Whites boss will have been delighted to get a couple more central midfielders through the door, but another attacking option to offer something different in behind Joel Piroe would be welcome.
There are always twists and turns on transfer deadline day at Elland Road – both in terms of arrivals and exits – so there may be a couple of surprises yet to happen as the day goes on.
In other Leeds United news, a pundit has raved about one “sensational” Whites player.
