Leeds United tipped for Jack Clarke transfer as £15m news emerges

Simon Grayson believes that Jack Clarke will be a great addition to the Leeds United side in the summer transfer window.

However, the former Whites boss only sees him moving to a Premier League club should he leave the Stadium of Light.

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, the Black Clats are looking at a £15million fee for the 23-year-old English attacker.

Grayson told the newspaper on 21 June: “Jack Clarke has had an exceptional season but it will have to be a Premier League team he leaves Sunderland for.

“Leeds were forced to sell him for financial reasons previously but he would be an incredible addition.

“With Willy Gnonto, Dan James, Crysencio Summerville, Patrick Bamford and Joel Piroe, Leeds have attackers that would get in so many Premier League teams. Let’s get to the summer and see what happens, he would be an unbelievable weapon to have.”

Jack Clarke would be a terrific addition to the Leeds United squad this summer

Clarke returning to Leeds would be a fantastic move for the club, especially if Crysencio Summerville departs.

A product of the academy, the Englishman has shown immense potential during his previous stint at Elland Road and has also done well against Leeds.

His ability to dribble past defenders, create chances and score goals would greatly benefit Leeds’ attacking prowess.

Moreover, his familiarity with the club and the fans would help him settle quickly, making an immediate impact.

Clarke’s experience in the Championship and Premier League, along with his young age, make him a long-term asset for the Whites.
