Leeds United target Ryan Fraser missing from club training as he looks for a move away

Leeds United transfer target Ryan Fraser has not been seen training with Newcastle, as he continues to look for a move away from the club, according to Newcastle World.

The report states that Fraser has not been seen at the training ground as both the first team and under-21 sides returned to training this week. Fraser has been told to find a new club this summer, with Leeds United and Southampton both keen on his services.

Fraser was banished to the U21s by Eddie Howe last season in a very public display of authority from the manager – a sign to his squad that if you don’t follow his rules, you won’t be a part of his team.

Fraser could be useful

Despite the very public disagreement with his manager, Ryan Fraser could certainly be a useful player, especially in the Championship. He will be available for a cut price this summer, despite signing for Newcastle just two years ago, due to a combination of the club wanting him gone, and his stock being at an all-time low.

Fraser was once a desirable option by clubs chasing Europe including Arsenal and Tottenham after recording seven goals and 14 assists in the Premier League for Bournemouth in the 2018/19 season.

Although that may have been five years ago now, Leeds boss Daniel Farke will be optimistic that he could get the best out of Fraser, and we could see a return to his top form in the Championship.

Leeds United will need to bring in reinforcements in every position this summer, and Fraser’s ability to play on either wing will be a bonus, with Jack Harrison, Willy Gnonto, Luis Sinisterra and Crycensio Summerville all being linked to moves away.

In other Leeds United news, Phil Hay has revealed clubs are interested in Leeds young star, but he is going nowhere.
