Leeds United table Igor Paixao bid as multi-million fee revealed

Leeds United have now taken their pursuit of Feyenoord winger Igor Paixao to the next level.

Daniel Farke wants a game-changing wide attacker and he has turned to the Brazilian who is on the back of an impressive campaign in the Netherlands.

The 25-year-old scored 18 goals and provided 19 assists in 47 games in all competitions.

Feyenoord receive £30m bid from the Elland Road outfit

According to Fussball Europa journalist Andre Oechsner (24 July), the Whites have made an initial offer for Paixao.

It’s understood to be around £30million but the Dutch side are looking for more if they are to part ways with their star winger.

Feyenoord are holding out for £34.7million as they’re aware of the demand for his services after a blistering campaign.

Marseille are also keen on Paixao but have only offered £26million and it has been turned down.

Leeds United trying hard to beat Marseille to his signing

It’s clear that Leeds United are willing to do whatever it takes to bring the Brazilian to Yorkshire this summer.

The Elland Road outfit need a game-changing player in the final third and Paixao is that man for them.

Much like Raphinha, he would arrive highly regarded and Daniel Farke may even look to build the team around him.

Leeds’ chances of avoiding the drop will significantly increase should they successfully manage to secure the 25-year-old’s services in the coming weeks.

It remains to be seen if they can convince Feyenoord to sell for that price or if they would want a higher bid.

Negotiations will likely be ongoing with both the Whites and Marseille and they’re likely to sell to the highest bidder as the winger is open to both moves.
