Leeds United table £9.9m bid to sign Rasmus Kristensen from Red Bull Salzburg
Leeds United have tabled a “huge” bid worth £9.9million to sign Red Bull Salzburg right-back Rasmus Kristensen, according to Ekstra Bladet.
The Danish newspaper reported via their website on 1 June that negotiations are still at an “early stage” and that Salzburg are yet to accept the offer for the 24-year-old Denmark international.
Kristensen hasn’t been given permission to talk to Leeds but it is understood that a move to Yorkshire would appeal due to Jesse Marsch previously managing him in Austria, turning him into the “explosive” right-back he is today.

Can’t refuse
Leeds have opened with a fair bid for Kristensen.
While it’s just short of the £10million we’ve seen reported elsewhere, it’s bound to be enough for Salzburg to accept.
Salzburg have already made £24.7million from Leeds when Brenden Aaronson swapped Austria for England in May so we doubt they’ll be in much need of more cash.
Kristensen is a bit older than Aaronson and is a right-back so there are good reasons for him to be worth less money in the transfer market.

Still, he’s a 24-year-old full international who’s one of the most exciting right-backs in European football based on his numbers from the 2021/22 season.
Kristensen helped fire Salzburg to Austrian Bundesliga glory and a spot in the Champions League knock-out stages by scoring 10 goals and supplying eight assists in 44 appearances across all competitions.
He’s an explosive, attack-minded right-back who’ll no doubt fit in very well at Leeds.
It’s fair to say that if Marcelo Bielsa was still in charge, he’d be quite happy with this signing.
With Aaronson on board already after an effort to sign him in January failed and Kristensen being bid for too, it’s easy to see that Victor Orta has his mind made up on what players he wants at Elland Road.
Let’s just hope that Marsch definitely wants them too. We’re sure he does.
In other Leeds United, this club is “powerless” to stop Leeds from signing their star midfielder in the summer.
