Leeds United table £17.1m bid to sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Arnaud Kalimuendo
Leeds United have submitted a bid worth £17.1million to sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Arnaud Kalimuendo, according to The Independent journalist Miguel Delaney.
Writing on The Independent’s website on Thursday (16 June), Delaney reported that while PSG are open to selling the 20-year-old attacker, who’s spent the last two seasons on loan at Lens, a deal is set to be complicated.
It is understood that the Ligue 1 champions want “a series of clauses attached” to any transfer involving Kalimuendo with one of them being a buy-back option.

Busy, busy, busy
It’s great to know that Leeds see value in getting their summer business done early.
So far, we’ve seen Brenden Aaronson and Rasmus Kristensen arrive from Red Bull Salzburg while Marc Roca looks set to be on his way to Elland Road from Bayern Munich.
That’ll be two new midfielders and a new right-back signed up by Victor Orta by around mid-June.
If Marcelo Bielsa was in charge, would we have just signed Aaronson, maybe, and then stopped? It’s actually quite likely considering how much he hated mixing up his squad and having more senior options than he felt he needed.
Jesse Marsch is obviously more open to a bit of an overhaul and definitely open to having more options at his disposal after seeing Leeds ravaged by injuries as they just about avoided relegation in 2021/22.

With Kalimuendo, he can play in multiple attacking positions and could be good cover – potentially even a starter despite his age – up front or on the left-wing.
The France Under-21 international scored 12 goals in 32 Ligue 1 appearances while on loan at Lens in 2021/22 and the fact that PSG want a buy-back clause says a lot.
He played mainly up front for Lens but is capable on the wing or playing off a striker too.
This is an exciting one, we must admit.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites have verbally agreed a deal for a Spanish club to make a windfall due to a 20 per cent transfer clause.
