Leeds United striker moves could mean Elland Road exit for Sam Greenwood
Leeds United are reportedly interested in Ivan Toney and are progressing in talks for Arnaud Kalimuendo and that could mean Sam Greenwood leaves Elland Road this summer.
The Sun reported on Saturday (16 July) that Leeds are weighing up a move for Toney along with Newcastle United.
It has also been revealed by 90min that the Whites are in talks to sign 20-year-old Kalimuendo from PSG.

It is likely that any forward addition at Elland Road will be above Greenwood in the pecking order at the club.
With Greenwood’s contract now in its final year, the club need to make a decision on the 20-year striker who joined Leeds from Arsenal in the summer of 2020.
Greenwood has managed eight goals and five assists for Leeds under-23 side in the 2021/22 season and is part of an excellent group of younger players at Elland Road.
The issue for Greenwood is that he needs first-team opportunities and with the influx of new signings coupled with the number of young players at Leeds, it will be tough for the youngster to gain the first-team football that he needs.

It would make sense for Leeds to offer Greenwood a new contract and then send him out on loan for the 2022/23 season in order for the 20-year-old to play regular first-team football.
Leeds’ trust in youth is a great policy, but due to the potential competition for places, it can sometimes be hard for their younger players to really make a breakthrough in the first team.
If the Whites don’t offer the youngster a new deal this summer it would not be a shock to see him leave the Yorkshire side on a permanent basis.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites are on the verge of winning the race to sign this player amid a £96,000-a-week development.
