Leeds United still interested in Roland Sallai transfer after Manor Solomon
Leeds United are still interested in a move for SC Freiburg winger Roland Sallai despite the impending signing of Manor Solomon from Tottenham Hotspur.
The Whites are set to formally announce Solomon on Tuesday [27 August] ahead of a season-long loan move [Fabrizio Romano].
Daniel Farke may target more additions to his forward line, Graham Smyth reported on his X account [27 August] that a move for Sallai could materialise in the final days of the transfer window.
He said: “Solomon deal will be done today in the only bit of imminent business expected at Leeds. Roland Sallai stuff has picked up more traction, reports abroad etc. The interest is still there, even as Solomon arrives.”

Leeds have pulled their finger out in the past few days and accelerated their transfer plans ahead of the 30 August deadline.
Farke admitted he wants four new signings before the deadline [The Athletic] once Georginio Rutter joined Archie Gray and Crysencio Summerville on the list of big-name departures at Elland Road this summer.
Largie Ramazani arrived from UD Almeria last week [Sky Sports] and with Solomon set to be announced, the Whites have recruited well to fill the void left by Summerville and Rutter.
The Whites were touted to make a return for Bournemouth winger Jaiden Anthony in a bizarre turn of events given his one-goal return in 31 Championship appearances and Leeds fans can breathe a sigh of relief as he looks set to join Burnley for the season [The Mirror].
With other positions needing to be addressed within three days of the deadline, a move for Sallai also makes little sense with so little time remaining.
However, the Hungarian has entered the final year of his Bundesliga contract, if Farke has his heart set on the winger then it is now or never to bring the 27-year-old to Yorkshire and Leeds certainly have the funds available to broker a cut-price deal.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites will try again to sign Dejan Ljubicic.
