Leeds United star set to follow Rasmus Kristensen out of Elland Road
Max Wober looks set to join Rasmus Kristensen in leaving Leeds United this summer for Germany, according to Graeme Bailey.
Speaking to Leeds United News [19 July], the journalist reports that there is interest from the Bundesliga in the Austria international with the Whites still assessing his future following his loan away last season [YEP, 13 July].
With Rasmus Kristensen’s move to Frankfurt “imminent” [Fabrizio Romano, 18 July], Bailey reports that there is “a good chance” both end up leaving Elland Road.
“It [Wober] is one they are assessing, there is interest in the pair of them from Germany from what I am hearing,” he said.
“There’s a reasonable chance that both go, I thought Kristensen might stay but I don’t think he particularly wants to play second tier which is always an issue with these guys coming back.
“There’s a good chance both go.”
Leeds United expect Max Wober to leave
After Archie Gray joined Tottenham and Glen Kamara made the move to Rennes this summer, the belief is that all sales at the club will be on Leeds’ terms for the rest of the summer [YEP, 17 June].
But there seem to be a lot more exits happening and very limited incomings for the first-team so far, and that is worrying if you’re a fan of the club.
With that said however, there was nobody who supports Leeds or has paid attention over the last 12 months that expected Wober to be playing in the Championship next season.

He immediately made it clear he wanted to leave last summer at the first attempt and while Gladbach’s interest has been mooted, they’re not willing to pay the asking price as it stands [BILD, 15 May].
But with no future in the second-tier with Leeds, an exit is more than likely going to take place at some point and Daniel Farke is going to need to find replacements quickly.
In other Leeds news, the club want to sign a Premier League winger on loan amid interest from other Championship sides.
