Leeds United star Raphinha could complete 'dream move' to Liverpool in January
Raphinha could complete a “dream move” from Leeds United to Liverpool in the January transfer window, according to the Mirror.
The newspaper reports that with sporting director Michael Edwards set to quit Anfield at the end of the season, he could make Raphinha, 24, one of his final signings.
It is understood that if Liverpool to opt to open their chequebook in the January transfer window, Raphinha is the “favourite” to join them.
Leeds United may well have to say goodbye to Raphinha at some point in the future but they won’t be in January.
Right now, Raphinha is the best player at Elland Road.
He’s scoring all the goals and creating all the chances so there’s absolutely no way we can afford to lose him.
If we didn’t have the Brazilian in the side, we’d probably be in the bottom three of the Premier League right now.
Raphinha may be worth a lot of money but he’s not worth as much as Premier League football is and if Leeds lose that this season after selling Raphinha, they’ll be absolutely reeling.
Marcelo Biesla doesn’t like signing outfield players in January so we very much doubt that he’ll be interested in selling any of them and disrupting his plans.
Liverpool can come knocking as much as they want but Raphinha may even want to stay here to guarantee his spot in the Brazil squad for the World Cup next year.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites want to sign this “box-to-box” midfielder.
