Leeds United stance shared on future of star midfielder Tyler Adams amid transfer speculation
Leeds United have got no plans to cash in on star midfielder Tyler Adams after his excellent performances at the World Cup, according to TEAMtalk.
The USMNT captain was the star performer at the tournament for his country before they were eliminated in the Round of 16 by Netherlands.
His showings saw the likes of Inter Milan and Manchester United linked with a move for the 23-year-old in January despite him only arriving at Elland Road in the summer, but Leeds will not be letting him leave.

“However, we can reveal that Leeds have absolutely no intention of cashing in on Adams in January,” they wrote (11 December). “The club also feel relaxed over his future, with his deal at Leeds currently running to 2027.
Journalist Graeme Bailey also commented on the speculation surrounding his future, confirming the club have no plans to sell.
“I know Leeds fans have been worried about the future of Tyler Adams and that he could be sold in January, but that’s most certainly not in the plans of the club’s hierarchy,” he said.
“Adams has become a key part of Jesse Marsch’s squad since arriving in the summer. And despite his outstanding showing at the World Cup finals, he won’t be going.”
“The player is also very happy at Elland Road and from what I am told he is determined to prove himself in the Premier League with Leeds.”
Perfect
If Leeds want to cement themselves as a Premier League club for years to come and eventually work towards getting back into Europe, then we need to keep our best players at the club.
Raphinha and Kalvin Phillips left in the summer and we managed to replace them adequately with the likes of Adams, Brenden Aaronson and Luis Sinisterra, but if we then sell those players so soon too we’ll be left with a far weaker squad.
Adams has been fantastic this season for the Whites and he showed his qualities on the world stage with his country, so it’s only natural that big teams across the continent are linked.
But if we’re going to sell up less than six months into a five-year contract then there is simply no point even trying to bring in that calibre of player, so well done to the club for standing firm despite the amount of money that would be on the table.
