Leeds United stance on Tottenham star Oliver Skipp emerges for summer transfer

Leeds United are open to a permanent or loan deal for Tottenham ace Oliver Skipp this summer, according to Football London.

Writing on their website (29 June), the news outlet report that Daniel Farke is keen on a reunion with the midfielder for the 2024/25 campaign after managing him during a loan spell at Norwich previously.

The Whites are expected to look at both a permanent and loan deal for the 23-year-old this summer depending on their financial situation, with Skipp open to a move to link up with Farke again. Premier League clubs are likely to enter the equation if he is made available, however.

Oliver Skipp to leave Tottenham for Leeds United?

Midfield is a position that Leeds are going to be targeting strongly this summer with Archie Gray, Ethan Ampadu and Ilia Gruev all linked with moves away from Elland Road.

After failing to earn promotion to the Premier League there is going to be changes within the squad, and the budget needs to be used sensibly to ensure no area of the squad is left short.

Joe Rodon seems unlikely to return from Spurs after his loan move which means defence needs to be strengthened, while Crysencio Summerville is also expected to move on which means attack needs help too.

But with the club eyeing targets and looking to bring players in it’s clear there is a plan in place and the Whites are preparing to give Farke everything he needs for a new push at promotion.

It’s going to be a busy summer in west Yorkshire this summer for incomings and outgoings, so fans should be attentive to everything that is happening.

In other Leeds news, a medical has been scheduled for a £3.8m permanent exit at Elland Road.
