Leeds United stance on Manor Solomon loan termination emerges

Leeds United are not dissatisfied with the impact of Manor Solomon since he arrived on loan from Tottenham, according to Graeme Bailey.

The TBR journalist told Leeds United News on 7 November that he’s not hearing anything about the Whites wanting to terminate the Israel international’s loan deal in January.

The Whites are also understood to be happy with his professionalism but it’s unclear if the 25-year-old will join permanently in the summer.

Bailey said: “I don’t think it gets to that extent. With Djed Spence, it was off-field issues as well, it was more his conduct than his performances. Solomon’s a good professional. He was brought in to compete. Leeds have a high-calibre squad, it was never going to be easy for anyone to walk in there.

“They’re relatively happy to have him around, a body. Did they bring Solomon in and think he’d be the best player in the Championship? Probably not, but from what I’m hearing, he’s a good professional and they’re pretty happy.

“Will it lead to a permanent deal? It’s hard to see at this point, but still a while to go. Unless it means them bringing themselves in, I don’t see them finishing it early. I’m not hearing they’re dissatisfied. Leeds have got such a good squad, it’s not an easy one to get into.”

Manor Solomon must improve his performances if he wants to join Leeds United permanently

Solomon’s impact at Leeds has been underwhelming, with only one assist in seven league appearances since joining on loan from Tottenham.

While his professionalism has been noted positively by the club, the primary expectation for any loanee is to contribute significantly on the pitch.

For the 25-year-old to secure a permanent move, it’s imperative that he steps up his game in terms of goals and assists.

The Israel international’s current output does not yet justify a long-term commitment from the Whites, particularly in a team with high ambitions in the Championship.

If Solomon aims to make his loan move permanent, he must demonstrate that he can be a key player, adding more to the team’s attacking prowess.

His performance in the coming months will be crucial in determining whether Leeds see him as part of their future squad.

In other Leeds United news, an Elland Road target is keen on returning to England and will be available on a free transfer in January.
