Leeds United transfer stance on Archie Gray could change amid Manchester United links
Leeds United may alter their not-for-sale stance on Archie Gray amid links with Manchester United if they do not earn promotion, according to Football Transfers.
The outlet reported on its website on Friday (12 January) that Leeds currently have no plans to cash in on the talented youngster, who can play in central midfield or at right-back.
That comes on the back of reports from Spain (11 January) suggesting Man United are interested in signing Gray after deciding not to purchase Sofyan Amrabat on a permanent basis.

The Football Transfers report, written by Jacque Talbot, reads: “The England Under-20 international is deemed not for sale by Leeds but it will all be dependent on whether Daniel Farke’s side manage to get promoted ahead of the next campaign.”

Leeds’ aim this season was always to make an instant return to the Premier League. After a large turnover in players following relegation, the quality of the group arguably improved.
However, the loan players are set to return to their parent clubs in the summer, while others may have to be sold as Leeds look to balance the books if promotion is not achieved.

Gray is one of the prized assets in the squad after enjoying an incredible breakthrough campaign at Elland Road – one that started with him bossing central midfield, before shifting into defence.
The England age-grade international is destined for the absolute top. Ideally that is with Leeds, but he will not stick around forever for the club to return to the big time.
Whether he would be open to joining Leeds’ fierce rivals Man United or not is a different question, but that is hopefully not one that will need answering.
What is guaranteed, though, is that if United do not go up in May – whether automatically or via the play-offs – Gray’s future will dominate the gossip columns throughout the summer.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites are reportedly open to offloading a central-midfield player before the January window closes.
