Leeds United sign all documents for new Marc Roca transfer development
Marc Roca has left Leeds United permanently, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian journalist reported via X on Friday (28 June) that the midfielder will stay at Real Betis after spending last season on loan with the club.
All documents have been signed between the two clubs, with the Whites receiving a £3.8million fee.
Roca has signed a contract with Betis until June 2028, with the option for a further year included.
Marc Roca to say goodbye to Leeds United and Elland Road
This news won’t come as much of a surprise to many supporters at Elland Road.
It was pretty clear for everybody to see that Roca had no future at the club under Daniel Farke, nor did he seem particularly keen on sticking around at Elland Road.
This therefore comes as a fantastic boost for the Whites ahead of next season.
They have received a much-needed cash injection at the expense of a player who was no longer an important member of the squad.
Roca had nothing to do with Leeds’ promotion push last season, with the Whites demonstarting that they were just fine without him.
As a result, getting him off the books was best for everybody involved.
That money can now hopefully be used toward new signings as Farke and his players look to go again in the Championship next season.
Leeds supporters must now say their goodbyes to Roca, but they are unlikely to be doing so with a heavy heart.
