'Victor Orta, go get him' – These Leeds fans react as Sky claims C'ship club set to sell striker
Sky Sports have reported that Charlton Athletic are “open to offers” for striker Lyle Taylor after he shunned a new deal with the south London club – and plenty of Leeds fans think Victor Orta should swoop.
29-year-old Taylor is out of contract in the summer and could be set for a January move after this news.
He’s scored seven goals in 13 Championship appearances this season and has been with Charlton for a season-and-a-half after a free transfer from AFC Wimbledon.

Taylor scored 21 in the 18/19 season for Charlton in League One but that’s the highest he’s played before this season.
The Montserrat international has recently lost his squad place for his country after making six appearances and scoring one goal.
There are more Leeds fans that are positive about the move, but Taylor doesn’t have the confidence of all the supporters (see below).

Not all Leeds fans are so keen though. One said he’d be “cheap” but a “gamble” and that Leeds need to spend to bring in someone who can get the club over the line for promotion.
Leeds’ number one target is more ambitious – they still want Che Adams, despite Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl saying the striker wouldn’t be available in January.
Cheap option and a gamble. Need to spend some money with someone who can get us over the line.

Really don't see the hype if we were to go for Taylor #lufc

We think that Taylor might well be good as back-up in the Championship, but is he the Premier League-level player that we want for next season? And do we want to buy a player who might turn out to be only useful for six months?
We’re not at all convinced about that.
