Leeds United share verdict on Jonathan Rowe transfer before 30 August with new bid ready
Leeds United do not expect their quest for Norwich City ace Jonathan Rowe to be “impossible” before the 30 August deadline, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.
Graham Smyth reported on 5 August that losing Rowe would no doubt be a difficult pill for Canaries fans to swallow after the recent exit of Gabriel Sara.
Leeds are ready to make a bid worth around £7million [John Percy, 5 August] for the winger which feels slightly on the cheap side, with more potentially needed.
Jonathan Rowe to seal Leeds United transfer
Leeds are one of the few Championship teams that have undergone a lot of changes since the transfer window opened.
The likes of Joe Rodon and Jayden Bogle have been permanently added to the ranks whilst players such as Crysencio Summerville [Sean Whetstone, 4 August] and Archie Gray have both exited for Premier League football.
And, although these losses will affect the club in one way or another, as long as the Whites can manage to bring in some decent replacement, they should be well on course for top-flight promotion.
The West Yorkshire outfit narrowly missed out on the automatic spots last term after finishing in 3rd place with 90 points.

Evidently, it wasn’t meant to be and now the club find themselves battling it out in the second tier once again.
The addition of Rowe would be stellar for Leeds as they’d have a direct replacement for Summerville.
Indeed, the club have the likes of Dan James and Wilfried Gnonto who can play on the left wing but the exit rumours around the future of the latter haven’t yet stopped [InterLive, 3 August].
So, for the club to have enough depth, Rowe’s addition would make a lot of sense.
In other Leeds news, the Whites may look to repeat their Crysnecio Summerville trick with a new transfer this summer.
