Leeds United set for transfer amid £24.5m El Khannouss development
Leeds United appear to be taking giant strides towards finalising the permanent transfer of Leicester City attacking midfielder Bilal El Khannouss.
The Whites have already made a number of signings this summer and want the Morocco international to be the next one through the door.
Daniel Farke is keen on building a squad that gives him the best chance of avoiding relegation next season.

Leeds United willing to pay £24.5m to Leicester City
According to Sky Sports journalist Sacha Tavolieri (31 July), Leeds are extremely keen on the El Khannouss deal.
They supposedly held a meeting on Wednesday with the Foxes and indicated that they are willing to pay the 21-year-old’s release clause.
That value is set at £24.5million, which, if triggered, means Leicester cannot prevent him from leaving.
The Elland Road outfit will also pay solidarity contribution and taxes to the Championship club, which is available until 15 August.
Farke can get the best out of El Khannouss at Elland Road
To maximise El Khannouss’s potential at Leeds United, Farke should leverage the 21-year-old’s technical brilliance and versatility.
Farke can deploy El Khannouss as a No. 10 or advanced midfielder, creating chances for strikers like Joel Piroe and Lukas Nmecha.

Encouraging quick, incisive passing and movement in tight spaces will suit his dribbling and vision, evident in his 88th percentile for progressive passes.
Farke should also ensure defensive discipline, coaching him to press effectively to match the Premier League’s physicality.
Regular starts, supported by experienced midfielders like Anton Stach, Sean Longstaff and Ethan Ampadu, will build confidence.
Integrating him into set-piece routines, given his delivery, can add value.
Patience with his adjustment from Ligue 1, combined with tailored training, will unlock El Khannouss’s potential for Leeds’ survival push.
It remains to be seen if any other club enters the race and looks to hijack the bid or if the Whites succeed in signing him.
