Leeds United sent two proposals for ‘world-class’ player, Leicester City want him
Leicester City have expressed an interest in signing Joel Piroe from Leeds United in the winter transfer window.
Piroe has fallen down the pecking order at Elland Road, and the striker, who recently pledged allegiance to Suriname, could be on his way out in January.
The 26-year-old has started just twice in the Premier League this season, with the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Lukas Nmecha and Noah Okafor being preferred over him up front.
While Piroe wants to win his place back under Daniel Farke, the attacker may be left with no choice but to leave sooner rather than later.

Leeds could accept a bid of around £13million for Piroe in the coming weeks, according to SportsBoom.
The news outlet reports on 16 January that Leicester have identified the Suriname international as an alternative target to bolster their attack.
It’s been claimed that the Foxes are working on two potential deal structures, with one being a loan with an obligation to buy based on appearances.
Another proposal would feature a low base fee but with significant performance-related add-ons, but it remains to be seen whether the Elland Road hierarchy will sanction his exit.
Apart from Leicester, several clubs in the Championship, like Middlesbrough, Southampton, Stoke City and Birmingham City, are keeping tabs on Piroe.
Farke is looking to sign a new striker at Elland Road, and that may signal the West Yorkshire outfit’s willingness to part ways with the Dutch-born striker.

Leeds are monitoring West Ham United striker Callum Wilson, with the Englishman looking to terminate his contract at the London Stadium.
The 33-year-old joined the Hammers last summer after his contract at Newcastle United expired, and he could become a free agent once again.

However, it remains to be seen whether Farke is willing to let the former Swansea City ace leave, as earlier in the season, the German manager said, “If you want to have a player with the ball in front of his feet 20 yards out, then I would always go for Piroe because he’s an unbelievable finisher and in these terms, really world class.”
While the West Yorkshire outfit’s fans are grateful to Piroe for his contributions in the previous campaign, they certainly wouldn’t mind seeing him kickstart his career elsewhere.
