Leeds United seal new transfer ahead of January, three-year contract ready
Leeds United have clinched a deal to sign young Australian goalkeeper Robbie Cook, according to Alan Nixon.
The journalist reported on his Patreon on 30 December that the highly-rated Perth native has agreed on a three-year contract at Elland Road after impressing on trial.
Birmingham City made a late move to sign Cook, but the goalkeeper was set on a move to West Yorkshire with Sunderland also interested.
Leeds United to seal first new transfer of 2025
Heading into the January transfer window at the top of the Championship after an unbeaten December, Daniel Farke will not be desperate for reinforcements.
One area that has been slightly lacking recently at Thorp Arch though, is the signings of younger talent around the world, something that became very frequent under Victor Orta.
The 49ers Enterprises have done well enough in the transfer market in terms of incomings this season, especially after the gutwrenching exits of Crysencio Summerville, Archie Gray and Georginio Rutter.

With eyes on January and the potential to add another playmaker and striker to the squad though, that could be the difference between promotion and play-offs again.
There is higher confidence that the title is Leeds to lose now, something that was never really the case last season alongside Leicester and Ipswich.
Cook is a positive signing for the future, but after the Aussie teenager comes strolling in, eyes may switch to the senior squad at Elland Road.
In other Leeds news, one of United’s transfer targets is growing frustrated at his club and could push for an exit in January.
